Decoupled Architecture

Hospital Ortopédico de SantʼAna, a historic healthcare institution under Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, needed a digital upgrade. The old website was functional—but impersonal and outdated. The objective: humanize the hospitalʼs presence, clarify its services, and allow users to access real-time, useful information—doctors, specialties, exams, appointments—all in one place.

We didnʼt just redesign—we rebuilt with purpose.
The website was restructured around the user journey. Whether someone is looking for a doctor, a specialty, or wants to book an appointment, the new interface makes it easy. We introduced a warm, intuitive visual language while keeping the layout clean and medically professional.
The site also opens a new communication channel—one that reflects the human side of healthcare, backed by institutional trust.

Informative, functional, and ready to serve.
The platform centralizes critical information—like available services, doctors, and partner institutions—while also enabling direct scheduling for appointments and exams. Content is clear, navigation is mobile-first, and every component is designed to reduce friction.
Core features:
- Specialty and doctor directory
- Online appointment and exam scheduling
- Simplified content structure and navigation
- New branding aligned with SCMLʼs ecosystem
- Modular CMS for easy updates
- Fully responsive experience

Built on a decoupled stack, the platform combines WordPress for backend content management with Nuxt.js for a smooth, reactive frontend.
This setup enables fast load times, dynamic routing, and content caching for repeat users. Hospital staff can manage content without technical know-how, while patients benefit from a clear, secure, and responsive experience.
