Continente has built a long-standing relationship with Portuguese audiences, creating campaigns that have become part of the country's cultural landscape. To celebrate ten years of partnership with Tony Carreira, the brand wanted to create a new kind of fan experience.

The challenge was to allow thousands of people to record a virtual duet with Tony Carreira from anywhere, giving selected participants the opportunity to perform alongside him during a live concert.

Engineering a real-time performance.

Delivering a convincing duet experience required much more than traditional karaoke technology. We developed a custom synchronisation engine capable of aligning video and audio in real time across thousands of devices.

The mobile application was built in Flutter, while native audio and video libraries were implemented in Swift for iOS and Java for Android to ensure precise media control and synchronisation. Server-side keyframe logic kept every recording accurately aligned, delivering a seamless experience regardless of the device.

The result was a reliable technical platform capable of supporting a large-scale national campaign.
