At Hypnotic, we donʼt just build for clients—we experiment, prototype, and create for ourselves. Glimpse was born from that instinct. The idea: one single place to hold your memories, your links, your playlists, your everything. A space that blends notes, media, and conversations—designed to be personal, shareable, and easy to revisit.

But this wasnʼt just another storage app. We wanted it to feel like something youʼd actually want to use—light, informal, and a bit quirky, without veering into gimmick. The voice mattered as much as the visuals. From tech stack limitations to UX pivots, the journey was as iterative as it was intentional. And as we built, we tested, refined, and reworked to make sure every feature supported the experience, not just the spec.

Glimpse was designed to act more like a companion than a tool. From copy to illustration, everything was aligned to feel human—casual, clear, and kind. We focused on making interaction easy and storage intuitive, while maintaining flexibility in how users wanted to express themselves or organize their content.

As we tested, we discovered new opportunities: missed features, better flows, edge cases that needed rethinking. Each improvement made Glimpse more aligned with the core idea—a personal, joyful archive for the things that matter

The app was built using Flutter for consistent cross-platform performance. Firebase powered the backend infrastructure—including storage, authentication, and real-time sync—while Node.js handled server-side logic. The result: fast, scalable architecture that supports both solo journaling and collaborative memory-building.
